Hi again.

We have created a new Webpage dedicated entirely to the Pericope de Adultera.

Here you can find copious rare info on John 8:1-11.

Textual Critical articles and internal evidence, as well as interpretational issues are presented.

Enjoy!

A large amount of material and links are collected in these three threads:

http://www.christianforums.com/t2408015-previously-unconsidered-evidence-for-john-81-11.html

http://www.christianforums.com/t2706010-textual-evidence-for-john-81-11.html

http://www.christianforums.com/t3154125-reconstructing-the-text-of-john-81-11.html

In the first thread, Samuel Davidson's original internal evidence was examined in detail, and found wanting.

In the second thread, key facts affecting the meaning of the early manuscript evidence were brought out.

In the third thread, simple and effective techniques for organizing the variation units and groups were applied with good results.

Enjoy!

I initially passed over this but after your comment I have decided to look into it. Most of the logic is already in place, extracting eigenvectors from a covariance matrix and doing a transformation wouldn't be all that taxing. Being in europe on the worst computer I have ever seen (I will have to buy my oldest daughter a new one), the final implementation will have to wait until I get home. Thanks for the tip, though.

P.S. After reading up on this some more I have decided to also try Linear Discriminant Analysis and a Discrete Cosine Transform. :)

I suggest to use Principal Component Analysis to bring the various parameters into display.
